Speaker: Kris Adair, Silver Springs Organics
Kris Adair is currently the new site manager at Silver Springs Organics (SSO). Kris started work with SSO early in 2013 as a new hire laborer position and quickly learned how operations were managed. In the second year of employment was transitioned into heavy equipment operator and became very proficient at managing tasks that resulted in a more streamlined and efficient operation. Going into his fourth year he was promoted to lead equipment operator and the following year was made supervisor of operations at SSO. When the original manager was promoted to another facility Kris was again asked to step up again to manage his site since he had so much working knowledge of that site. Kris has received a Compost Facility Operator Training certificate from the WA organic recycling council and has was nominated as equipment operator of the year. Going into 2019 SSO has some projects in mind to further streamline the site in which will keep it running at full capacity while maintaining a healthy and quality product for local businesses and residential markets. Kris Adair lives in Tumwater, WA. Which is about 10 miles from Silver Springs.
