Presentation: “Killer Compost” by Debbie Burris, Lewis County WSU Master Gardener Coordinator. “Killer compost” is becoming a real problem, even for those who make their own compost or are organic gardeners. Come learn how minute amounts of herbicide can damage or even kill your plants.  Debbie will teach you what it is, what it does, how to tell if you have some and how to avoid it. All attendees can claim CE hours.
Not a member of the Foundation, no problem. Dues are only $10 a year. Download an application.

Membership

Membership is easy to accomplish! All you need to do is come to one of the meetings and fill out an application. Or you can click HERE to download a printable form which you can bring to a meeting or mail with your payment to the address indicated.

You do not need to be a Master Gardener or Master Recycler Composter to be a member, and joining does not confer Master Gardener status.

Membership in the foundation not only contributes towards the demonstration gardens and clinics which are open to the public, but also associates you with a community of gardeners in Thurston County. By becoming a member, you are entitled to vote and help set the direction of the foundation.

Dues:

  • Individual and associate members $10 for the year
  • Business or corporate members $25 for the year

Meetings

We have several membership meetings throughout the year. Please see the sidebar for dates, location, time, and discussion topic. Members generally get in for free (some special events may be different and will be noted in the meeting announcements). Visitors are welcome and will be charged a small fee, also noted on the meeting announcement. Visitors are always welcome to join the Foundation for the regular membership fee.

We usually have a potluck at 5:30pm followed by the meeting at 6:30pm and a speaker on different topics at about 7:00pm.
